LAPSE

Quelita Moreno is a respected Brazilian producer best known for the award-winning film "Festa" and "A Paz é Dourada". She wrote the article Revista de Cinema (The Business of Cinema) and helped form I Foro das Autoridades do Mercosul - an alliance between six Latin American countries for the advancement of South American film. A lawyer, she also has the rare ability to work creatively with a firm grasp of storytelling. She lives in Los Angeles, currently producing among others a project entitled "The Flight and the Tear" together with UNESCO and the MPA. As mentor, she offered invaluable advice and support on "Lapse" during development, prep and postproduction and is credited as associate producer. She met Marianne at UCLA Extension where both did a class on the art and business of casting. Marianne was impressed with her ability to elevate the quality of any project she touches. The two hit it off instantly and Quelita remains one of the few people whose professional advice and opinion Marianne relies on.
